Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck or back, as well as the openings between the bones where nerves exit from the spinal cord. This usually happens when bone, tissue, or both grow in the openings in the spinal bones. This growth can squeeze and irritate nerves that branch out from the spinal cord.

This results in pain, numbness, and/or weakness, most often in the arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, and buttocks. It’s most often caused by changes that can happen with aging and the unnecessary progression of disc and arthritic joint changes.

Depending upon the advancement of the deterioration, spinal stenosis can be treated with instrument-based Chiropractic or Atlas Orthogonal. We offer the non-surgical alternative of Spinal Disc Decompression as well as laser and infrared light therapy.
