Sciatica
Sciatica is a condition characterized by pain, tingling, or numbness in the lower extremities of the buttock, legs and/or feet. It is produced by nerve irritation or nerve compression of the nerve roots that form the sciatic nerve. These nerve roots come out of the spinal cord into the lower back, go down through the buttock, and then branch down the back of the leg to the ankle and foot.

Common causes of sciatica are disc-related problems, including bulging disc, disc herniation, and nerve root impingement. Other causes can be Piriformis Syndrome or nerve irritation from a misaligned vertebrae on the soft nerve.

Depending upon the severity and advancement, it can be treated with instrument-based chiropractic or Atlas Orthogonal. We offer the non-surgical alternative of spinal disc decompression as well as laser and infrared light therapy.
